What difference does it make if climate change is caused by natural causes or global warming? The result is the same, billions of the silly Earthlings starve. When I explain this concept the silly Earthlings just look at me. Cannot figure out what goes through the minds of this species when they are silent. We need intense discussions about this serious problem to get the silly Earthlings to understand. Any ideas?
The problem is that an entire segment of the population doesn't believe in global warming in the first place, whether human-influenced or natural. So they don't perceive a need to address, let alone solve, a "non-existent" problem. In fact, to many, it is viewed as a chance by poor nations to get global redistribution of wealth from rich nations. Even here in the US many see it as merely an excuse to exact higher taxes from and exert more government control over businesses.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to talk to - let alone convince - people who don't have a fundamental faith in science (and what percentage of climate change deniers would you guess also reject evolution…?) about issues like global warming and climate change. Just look at Fox News where they perceive heavy snow as evidence against climate change even though climatologists suggest more severe storms (from more moisture in the air) is a likely product of global warming. And of course, record heat in the summer has nothing to do with anything to the folks at Fox News.
